Direct Action Welfare Group’s New Office Wish List

 

As you may know DAWG recently moved into a building in Charleston1605 Washington Street West.  Prior to this we have been operating out of my house.  Due to the move into a larger space and the addition of a VISTA and office volunteers we are in need of the following items. This may seem like a lot but all we have now is basically what will fit in one small bedroom and we now have an entire building to set up. Our new building is an empty slate.  We have a large front room that is 18ftx42ft and a large back room that is 18ftx25ft and a small bathroom – no shelves, no closets.

 

Furniture

2 regular office desks

1 reception desk or small desk

4-6 file cabinets at least 1 locking 4 drawer file cabinet (with key)

4 or more folding tables (the kind used in conference rooms or dining halls)

Folding chairs

Partitions (the kind used to make cubicles)

Bookshelves

Storage shelves either open or with doors (locking ones are a plus)

Storage cabinets or credenzas (sideboards)

2 desk chairs

Rolling file carts

 

Equipment

At least 2 working desktop computers running Windows XP

Color printer

Small refrigerator (either dorm size or apartment size)

Space heaters

Moving cart/dolly

Heavy duty extension cords

Surge protectors

TV

VCR and/or DVD player

 

Misc

Large area rugs

Janitorial mop bucket and mop

Large push broom

Step ladder (we have very high ceilings and need to reach our lights to change them)

Cleaning supplies

Bathroom supplies (toilet paper, paper towels and wall holder)

Mirror (for over the bathroom sink)

Long tube florescent light bulbs

Large Bulletin boards

Large White board (dry erase)

Small trash cans

Floor lamps

General office supplies (copy paper, folders, hanging files, pens, pencils, etc)
