Grant coming for Boone Child Advocacy Center

The Regional Family Resource Network of Boone, Kanawha and Putnam Counties has been notified that the Board of Trustees of the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation has authorized a grant of $35,000 to establish a Boone County Child Advocacy Center.

 

Sissonville Community Information Fair

On behalf of those involved in planning the Sissonville Community Information Fair held on July 19, I would like to thank the many participants for the success of the fair.  Free food, favors, door prizes and child ID cards as well as three grand prizes were given away.

 

Madison-Danville Community Foundation Makes First Grant

During an informational reception at Boone County Bank, President Chip Shaffer made the Foundation’s first grant which went to the Regional Family Resource Network.  Graciously accepting the $500 donation was Michele Baranaskas, RFRN executive director.

 

WV Community Voices Funding Expires

Many are aware that the five-year WV Community Voices grant to the Regional Family Resource Network will come to an end on June 30, 2003.  This grant enabled to employ  part-time Associate Directors in Boone and Putnam Counties and provided funding to many worthwhile health-related projects in the three counties.
