On behalf of those involved in planning the Sissonville Community Information Fair held on July 19, I would like to thank the many participants for the success of the fair. Free food, favors, door prizes and child ID cards as well as three grand prizes were given away through the generosity of local merchants, state agencies and national chain store merchants, too numerous to name here.
Health screenings, child fingerprinting and useful information were shared by local health, social service and law enforcement providers. Children donated 44 containers of non-perishable food to get in the Jupiter Jump. This food was donated to the North Hills Baptist Food Pantry and the Aldersgate United Methodist Food Pantry. Thanks to local families who attended and participated in the fair. The success of the fair is evidence of a strong and caring community that is willing to work together.
