Fbaby pantryood and Baby Pantries are located at the Family Resource Center housed at Sharon Dawes Elementary, 5118 Cabin Creek Road Miami, WV.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions the pantry is available by appointment only.  Please call (304) 595-3323 extension 105 and leave a message to schedule an appointment. 

The Family Resource Center Baby Pantry (infant and toddler clothing, diapers, formula and early childhood educational resources) is located at the Elk River Community Center at 1078 Main Street Elkview, WV.

Putnam Wellness

The Putnam Wellness Coalition works towards the elimination of substance abuse in Putnam County by identifying key leaders in the community and providing a knowledge-base in which we promote substance abuse prevention, intervention, treatment, and recovery. To this end, we support primary prevention programming in Putnam County Schools and within the community, sponsor school-based leadership chapters, provide technical assistance and facilitate trainings on drugs trends and concerns for students, teachers, parents, and professionals, host multiple outreach events, and partner with numerous community organizations, state, county, and city organizations to reach our shared goals.

Boone Stopwatch

boonestopwatchBoone Stop Watch is a drug prevention coalition serving Boone County. The Coalition is made up of a group of concerned citizens and professionals whom have a common interest in improving the well being of Boone County. These individuals collaborate to create environmental changes within the community. Boone Stop Watch activity works with SADD (Students against destructive decisions) groups and school system within Boone County to implement evidence based programs as well as drug free activities in the schools. Boone Stop Watch also provides information about prevention, recovery, and addiction to community.

Parents as Teachers serving Kanawha County

pat logo cdhdThe UKV Starting Points Center located in Sharon Dawes Elementary and the Chesapeake City Hall provides direct services, information and resources to families with young children. The center offers free and voluntary family friendly services and operates in cooperation with Family Resource Networks and local agencies. The center and programs are grant funded through DHHR Bureau for Children and Families and Project Launch. Anyone with a child from the prenatal stage of life to eighteen years of age qualifies to participate in the following programs regardless of income.
